It just sucks that scrubbing the picture makes you have to hit that line.The previous update, Version 16, added several capabilities, too. Probably best to use JKL keys instead of dragging that play head, since it often jumps back when you're trying to scrub forwards, or vice versa, etc.

There is no way to change it, that I know of (maybe some of the settings can affect it).

However, I only notice this bad scrubbing performance in VEGAS Pro, and it's been there since forever.

to maintain your manual scrubbing speed, and audio isn't a part of the equation (which can include Audio Effects and VSTs, etc. Scrubbing just the picture will just drop frames, etc. I think part of the issue is that the audio/video scrubbing is real-time, so your machine is processing everything to play EVERYTHING. If you click the line it attaches to, it will scrub (very fast) only the picture. If you click the play head (think he circled) and scrub, it will scrub (VERY slowly/leggily) with audio. It's the first thing people will check or notice when they try out a new NLE, or a trial version. even more basic than splitting clips, IMO. Scrubbing on the timeline is the absolute most basic thing you do in an NLE. It just further marginalize the product by maintaining the status quo and running Professionals and serious users off and over to competing products. Pushing it under the rug doesn't accomplish that. Listen, I know there are 'workarounds' for some issues, but MAGIX still should get feedback to enable them to make the product better - easier and more intuitive and productive to use. That's problematic if you have clips selected and want to do something that requires the selection to not change. You cannot click on another location in the ruler area (where the play head is located) to change its location. I just tried it.ДЄnother issue is that you cannot reposition the play head without clicking in the timeline track area. Middle Mouse Button does nothing for scrubbing on the timeline, not on my machine.
